AGENTIC AND STUDENT ACTION LEARNING
Module 3 has finally come to an end. This is my reflection for module 3.
I now recognize the four parts of supportive action:
I. Teacher-led instruction (with students)
ii. Student took the initiative (with teachers and learning community)
iii. Shared action started by the teacher (with students)
iv. Action started and led by students (individually or in groups of students)
As my pupils research a subject, I will work alongside them as a co-learner rather than just as a leader. I will use the proper scaffolding to assist my pupils as they progress through their inquiry. I will assist in directing student-centered, practical provocations that are connected to actual experiences and events.
I’ve learned to make my classroom very democratic, where I routinely and daily urge the children to speak up, think things through, and share their thoughts and wants. The various learning activities that take place during the day are up to the students to choose how they will participate. My students and I will regularly take time for reflection during which we discuss our decisions and the experiences that resulted from those choices, as well as our accomplishments and areas for improvement.
I will create more space for agentic learning and tailor my teaching-learning strategies to give room for student action.
Thank you all.👍
